She told me that if I can't came at work on time then it would be better for me to look for a new job. I told her the reasons and she don't accept it, So I will try to wake up early and avoid being late again. My supervisor told me that it's not bad being late but not on a consecutive basis cause it will not do good in business.

But it's really not my fault, I woke up early but the traffic was so tremendous and I can't avoid it :( . My co-worker told me that I should wake up more early and try to look for an alternative route to avoid traffic. I still remember in my rural days where traffic is not a big issue, even though I woke up late still I'm not late at school. So I will try to look for any alternative route tomorrow or I will just woke up more early to avoid being scold by my supervisor.

This might be a big lesson for me to make things on time and avoid being late. I know being late is a bad habit for an employer like me. And besides my supervisor is right and she is in the position to put things on the right track. So I will not be late tomorrow and try to avoid the habit of being late.

When Bad Guys got caught

It was last night in our place nearby when a woman shouted for help. I didn't actually hear when the woman shouted but my wife told me that she heard somebody is shouting for help, so I try to go in front of the window and see what's going on outside. Almost all of our neighbors are standing outside and they're watching something that makes me curious.

After a few minutes I was also outside and ask one of our neighbor on what was happening. Then she told me that a "robber" was being caught. A woman was being rob a few blocks from our house and the woman shouted and ask for help. The robber runs in a small streets near our house but unlucky for him cause he went to the street that was a dead-end, so he was caught by our neighbors.

One of our neighbor told us that robbery accidents increases during or before holiday seasons. Probably because these people needs to have money for these coming holiday season. Robbery accidents in rural areas are common, especially if you're living in a poor country. If only our government can provide better job and opportunity for these person they might not commit a crime.

The Bank Marathon

It was a bad weather here and I'm not feeling well due to colds and cough. Heavy rain keeps on falling the whole day and my boss ask me to deposit some money in the bank. Not knowing how many banks should I go through, I obeyed him directly. Then she give me the papers and I was got surprise to know that I need to visit three banks.

For me it can be considered as a Bank Marathon, visiting one bank to another is not so hard job but you should be vigilant cause you're carrying some money and I know if something gonna happen on it no one should be blame but me. Still the bad weather never stops and I need to go through. First bank was so easy cause it's just a few blocks on our office but still I need to rode a jeep because of the heavy rains.

Experiencing a bank marathon is not a hard job, especially that you will see some beautiful bank teller :D . They were very noisy the whole day and I haven't sleep well because of them. In our present house here in the city every time a birthday or any special occasion happen drinking session is always present. Probably it's there hobby to have a drinking session every time a special occasion comes and the bad thing is that they will rent a videoke machine.

A machine that they will used to sang there favorite videoke song. I'm not against with videoke machine but the one who sings it sometimes makes me feel angry, especially if the voice seems not that good enough. I'm also not a good singer but a drunk man who sings some old song could be to annoying to the ear :D . Just imagine a drunk man sings some song and I bet you know how he sings it. If you haven't tried it than ask a drunk man to sing his favorite song.

They had a videoke the whole day until 12:30 midnight and most of the people in our house felt so angry and annoyed with them. But since we're living in the city, we learn to adjust and learn to live with it. Unlike in our province even if our neighboor plays there videoke the whole day, its not a bid deal because each houses are build with a ver far distance. I'm thinking to celeberate my birthday party at our rural place because it only takes a small amount of money. Although there are also scammers in the rural area but not as rampant in the city. I still remember my experience few years back when I firstly arrived in the city, I was looking for a job and applied for a certain agency gladly it was closed now :) (wonder if those people were still in jail until now). I saw there ads in a local newspaper and they were looking for a "marketing assistant". As a newly graduate person and wants to have a job right away, I decided to apply for them.

I went to there office to apply for a job and got amazed because a huge number of applicants were also there waiting and hoping to have a job. It was a long hour of waiting for my interview to came and finally my turn came up. The interviewer ask me some personal and educational background question, And I answered him properly. What I really wonder and confused because after the interview he ask me some amount of money before they will hire me for a certain job. They called it processing and placement fee. Even though I came from a rural area, I was not that easy to be fooled by somebody. I answered him that I will think about it first before I will accept there job offer and pay them for a processing and placement fee.

When I arrived at home my uncle ask me the result of my job interview and I told him that the company is asking for some money for a placement and processing fee. He then told me not to come back on that company because it's just another way of scams. There are lots of scam available in the city right now. And I felt sorry for those people who were victimize by these group of scammers and sad to say most of there victims are people who came from rural area. Maybe if there are only good opportunities in the rural area, these people would not came in the city to look for job and rather stay in the province.

Rainy days means flood days

Its rainy days now here in the city and just what everybody expects FLOOD :( . Every time a bad weather or just an ordinary rain drops here in our place, expect FLOOD happens and whats next? a bunch of traffic all over the city streets. I really don't know why this flood problem is still not resolve by the local authorities, I've been into some cities although I admit there are still flood but not totally as what I had experience here in our place.

There are also flood happens in our rural place before but not as dirty as what I've seen here. But there's nothing I can do but to accept the situation and try to adopt on it. If only there are enough opportunities in our rural place, I prefer that our family will stays there but sad to say their is no enough job available especially on rural areas. That's the main reason why people from the rural are came here in the metro to look for a job or opportunities for there family.

According to the local authorities they were planning some solutions to solve the flood problems but still there ideas are not enough. Flood always happens every time a rain cames and I just hope someday a solutions will came up. Rural blogger out for now!!!

My GrandMa Visits Me

I was surprise the other day when my grandmother visits me in our house. She was came from out province in Mindanao, she's look more older now unlike before I live in the province were she only had few white hair :D . I was so happy to see her and I immediately open the gate, I make a "mano" to her as a sign of respect.

She then embrace me and said "you seems to older now" probably because when I leave our native homeland I was just only 21 years old and now I'm on my early thirties :) . We had a great talk and she inform me that my parents wants me to visit our native homeland in Mindanao, I my plans is working pretty well now that I will make a surprise visit to Mindanao by next year :D Oppppps!!! that's a big SECRET :) .

I do really missed my native homeland, my rural life where I was grown up. I just hope my plans will push thru next year and that is to go for a vacation in our homeland. Well, my grandma will stay here in the city until January next year. I notice that she has an Alzheimer's already that she needs to be accompanied by my aunt, Right now she's stay with my aunt house in within the city proper nearby. To be honest I'm so excited to take my vacation next year, hope there will be no problem that will affect my vacation plans. Rural Blogger Out For Now!!!

slow internet connection

I haven't made any post for almost 3 days due to sluggish internet connection. I tried to call a technical support from my Internet Service Provider to ask for any feedbacks on why our internet connection was too slow. But they just give me some nonsense answer or they just don't wanna admit that the problem was on there side. The internet connection was pretty bad that time, it's like a roller coaster ride sometimes you got a high speed then it drops into low connection. Imagine having a 512 kbps connection in just a matter of minutes it will drop to 6.6 kbps.

I called them again and finally they admit that the problem was on there side. They told me that our connection is being monitored by there technical team and they experienced a network problem in our area. It came into my mind that some Internet Service Providers are not honest with there clients or maybe they just protecting there business. But it would be too unfair for clients like us who is hopping that they will give us the right answer. I know there is no stable networks even large Internet Service Providers encountered this kind of problem what I don't like is that they've lied and tried to insist that everything is fine at there side.

Internet connection was finally restore the day after and all I can say is that they solve the problem in a very long period. I just hope that our connection will be stable.

Always check your gas regulator

We were able to bought a new refill gas tank to our gas stove yesterday and I was surprise that the price of a new refill tank drops :) . That was a great news for us who use gas for cooking. After a few minutes the gas tank was delivered to us and the delivery boy tries to instal it in our gas stove but the gas leaks, I was to scared on what things might happen. He tries to install it again but the same thing happens and he suggest that we should change our regulator cause it was already deficted.

My in-laws told him that we bought that regulator for a couple of months and how come it was damage to early. The delivery boy explain to us that some gas regulator usually damage to early depends on the manufacturer or maybe it came to the time that we need to change it. And besides who want to gamble or using a deficted regulator that may cause a huge damage to your property. Lots of fire related cases are cause by gas tank leak explosion due to a deficted gas regulator and we don't want those thing happen to us. So we decided to bought a new gas tank regulator and the delivery boy install it to our gas stove, after the installation there was no gas leak happens and the delivery boy was right our gas regulator has a defict.

We should always be aware on our gas regulator, I highly suggest that you should check your gas regulator once a month or every time you bought a new gas tank, try to us a gas technician on the current status on your gas regulator whether you have to replace it or not. I remember during my rural days that we don't use gas tank for cooking instead we use woods for cooking so no gas leaks to worry. But using wood for cooking here in the urban area is time consuming and we all know time here in rural area runs fast, every minute is very important.

Privacy Policy

I respect your privacy and I am committed to safeguarding your privacy while online at my site http://ruralblogger.blogspot.com . It happens that I meet one of my "kababayan" somewhere in the metro and being a fellow rural friend I firstly approached to greet him. But things came not good for me cause he just smile and ignore me, it really felt bad to be treated like that. He was totally change and it really surprise me, I was thinking to comfront him why he approach me on a bad way. Maybe his in a bad mood or ashamed with his socialite friends because a rugged guy approached to greet him.

I just ignore those things happend the other day probably I was thinking bad about him. But when I ask one of our fellow kababayan regarding the kind of attitude he got. I was surprise cause he also experienced the same way just like what I had the other day. And some of our rural friends experienced it also. Maybe their are some people who actually change there attitude when they arrived in another place, a change of lifestyle, taste and friends. But one thing for sure someday he will realize that the thing he had done to his fellow rural friends is bad. And I hope that he will realize it soon or he will get into bad karma for what he did.

Traffic Jam Headache

Traffic Jam here in the city causes a lot of headache, imagine waiting for almost 15-30 minutes before your vehicle can move on from one street to another. Especially during rainy days whew!!! flood and traffic are joining forces to give every human being here in this city a big darn headache. I really wonder when will this traffic problem be solve? Every day I always made an adjustment for my time, my work starts at 9:00 am but I need to live home around 6:30 or else I will be late.

I still remember during my highschool days in the rural area where I don't took to much attention on time. My class usually starts at 7:30 am and I left home around 7:20 but I never get late eventhough our school is 5 kilometers away. Maybe because their is no traffic in the rural area or province. How I wish traffic jam will be eliminate in this city but for sure it would take a long time or maybe a possible thing :( .

Nothing beats Dried Fish

I had a great breakfast today a cup of coffee, rice and fried dried fish. Still nothing beats the smell of fried dried fish, it really craves me a lot. I still remember my old life in the province where I eat fried dried fish as my breakfast. Life in the rural area is very simple, the kind of living and the type of food they want. Still remember when I arrived here in the city during 1999 where I was so excited to eat the kind of meal they have. Almost all of the food I had eaten are full of preservatives which is not good for the body. There are some people also here who are health conscious but most of them are into preservative food like instant mami, instant spaghetti and a lot more.

Hope to have a great day cause my morning seems great :) .
